If you're on the hunt for a nice Ryzen 3000 PC, but don't have the budget as X570 and B550 are too expensive, well A520 might be the value alternative. We've seen several A520 products mentioned already, yet things remain rather silent.

Asus and Asrock already had listed a handful of SKUs, and Gigabyte now follows suit with the first models. The EEC is listing six models in several form factors, ATX, M-ATX and M-ITX sizes. Out of the six, two are positioned in a more premium Aorus line. Here they are:

  • A520 AORUS ELITE
  • A520M AORUS ELITE
  • A520M DS3H
  • A520M H
  • A520M S2H
  • A520I AC

For a simple basic Ryzen-based PC it might be a good alternative as these chipsets still offer PCIe Gen 3.0 and all necessary connectivity options. The VRm design will be dimmed down though, so if you do not plan to overclock this could be an elegant alternative for your conventional entry-level to mainstream level gaming or office PC. A520 motherboards should hit retail in August, although there is no specific day for their release yet.
