Gigabyte launches Aorus GTX 1060 6GB with Faster 9 Gbps GDDR5 Memory

During the 1080 Ti launch it was already announced, there will be faster clocked 1060 and 1080 SKUS. The memory will be paired with faster ICs. Gigabyte launches their custom GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB graphics card now featuring faster 9 Gbps (GDDR5-effective) memory this was 8 Gbps. 



The faster memory brings memory bandwidth towards 216 GB/s over its 192-bit wide interface. The Aorus GTX 1060 6GB 9Gbps Edition can be spotted under SKU code GV-N1060AORUS-6GD and is the more premium model with a dual-slot triple-fan WindForce 3X cooling solution. It has a single 8-pin PCIe power connector; and a back-plate.

The card is clocked at 1607 MHz on the  GPU base clock, a 1835 MHz GPU Boost and thus that 9.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory. FYI reference was 1506/1708/8008 MHz. Gigabyte didn't talk pricing, the cards should be available soon though.
