Gigabyte Launches 990XA-UD3 R5 Socket AM3+ Motherboard
Gigabyte has released a new soc ket AM3+ motherboard for AMD AM3+ FX processors or AMD AM3 Athlon/Phenom II processors, looks quite good as well and even supported 2-way-sli or Crossfire.
The motherboard is based on the AMD 990X chipset with SB950 south bridge chip. The Realtek ALC1150 is a high-performance multi-channel High Definition Audio Codec that delivers an exceptional audio listening experience with up to 115dB SNR, ensuring users get the best possible audio quality from their PC, it is based on an isolated audio circuitry. It has 2X Copper PCBs design provides sufficient power trace paths between components to handle greater than normal power loads and to remove heat from the critical CPU power delivery area.
The 125 USD board comes with two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots (x8/x8), and a third PCIe 2.0 x16 slot (x4, toed to southbridge). Lastly it has two PCIe 2.0 x1 and a two legacy PCI slot.

i have the R3 version of this model, and honestly i hate it. i can't get my DDR3 1866 ram to run any higher than 1600mhz, and thats with a fairly hefty voltage increase, otherwise it would only do 1333mhz.
my advice to anyone considering this board: avoid, avoid, avoid!
