Gigabyte joins the dark side of PCB

Gigabyte joins the dark side by replacing their traditional blue colored PCB of their motherboards with black and gold midtones. The company chose IDF 2010 to exhibit their two new motherboards for Intel Sandy-Bridge processors, called P67A-UD5 and P67A-UD7. Both mainboards feature the heart of a new P67A chipset, which is an update ready to boost Sandy-Bridge performance.

Looking carefully, we see dual powered 24-phase PWM and gold black heatsinks around the socket area. As more powerful and expensive motherboard, the UD7 signs in cutting edge technologies, such as the still-coming USB 3.0 support and better overclockability over the other models. But, both products still use NF200 chip, so gamers and enthusiasts have to deal with the limitation of two graphics cards only
