The card itself has an enormous cooling solution that requires three slots (or more) and is over 1.5 times as tall as a standard expansion slot. It is clear from the box art that the RTX 4090 has 24 GB of GDDR6X for its memory. Next week at GTC, NVIDIA will likely introduce the RTX 40-series, which won't be available to the public until late 2022.
