Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 (GV-N780OC-3GD REV2) Graphics Card

Gigabyte apparently updated their GTX 780 towards revision. The product located under SKU code GV-N780OC-3GD REV2 comes powered by a 28nm GK110 GPU, the card is packed with 2304 CUDA Cores, a 384-bit memory interface, a core clock of 954MHz (1006MHz Boost Clock) and a 3GB of GDDR5 memory set @ 6008MHz.

The card has WindForce 3X cooling system and has DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.  It remains a little unclear what exactly changed though as the cooler and clock specs remain absolutely the same. This 3GB WindForce 3x OC edition that comes factory clocked for you at 954 MHz (Ref 863) with a Boost clock of 1006 MHz (Ref 900). The one thing yhat has changed is that revision 1 has 1x6 and 1x8 power connections, whereas revision 2 has 2x8.

If interested you can read our review on this card right here. The card retails at 699 USD and comes with a free copy of Splinter Cell Blacklist.

......On a side note, a while back I reset precision x to default and my card was running on stock for days and I had no idea... running games at 1189mhz instead of 1267mhz didn't make any qualitative difference.

Well, 80Mhz on the core besides maybe a few benchmarks, won't do much with gaming(a few FPS maybe?), especially if you are already running high FPS.

Not to mention obviously if VSync was on and you were at 60FPS then it doesn't matter at all.

my gpu is getting old and my wallet empty... what a shame

Well, you got so far with your undercover 470 as a 465. I'm pretty sure you can wait a bit more for Maxwell.

And if it turns out not be what's expected, we can always buy last gen at ridicously low prices. :P
