Gigabyte Eagle series RTX 4080 Shows Up in leaked photos
The EAGLE series will be Gigabyte's fourth triple-fan design, following the WindForce, Gaming, and AORUS series. The new design is significantly larger than the predecessor (3080 series).
The card now has 3.5 slots and the same 110mm fan design as the RTX 4090 Gaming OC cards. Gigabyte will, however, use the same cooler for the 4090 and 4080 Eagle series. The card has a single 16-pin power connector as well as the standard display output configuration of 3x DP 1.4a + 1x HDMI 2.1. It should be noted that the 3080 Eagle series had an extra DisplayPort, but this is no longer the case for any Gigabyte RTX 40 model. The Gigabyte RTX 4080 EAGLE will be factory-overclocked, but the exact clocks have yet to be confirmed. The AD103 GPU has 9728 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR6X memory in this model. Due to NVIDIA's cancellation of this SKU, there will be no 12GB variant.
NVIDIA plans to release the RTX 4080 on November 16th for $1,199. The RTX 4080 Eagle non-OC is very likely to launch at MSRP because it is one of the lowest tiers in the Gigabyte lineup.

Everybody complains about the 12pin connector. Alright, let's take it for what it is.
Are AIBs even allowed to build cards with 8pins if they decided to? Doesn't Nvidia force them to use those by their rules?
Personally I don't complain, and no I think Nvidia is controlling the designs of AiB partners, so I don't think they r allowed to do so. My corsair PSU has a cable from it to 12pin, so in the case I would have a 4090 I wouldn't even use the adapter.
The assumption from Nvidia that these adapters will not be bent is very stupid though. I mean you have already a huge card to fit in a case and you trying to manage the cable the best you can, how on earth you will let 15+ cm of un-bendable cable pointing towards outside the case?

Hopefully this card is a beast at 1440.

@Aura89
The adapter Nvidia and AIB partners offering is a state of transition cause atm there are very few and very expensive PSUs that offer 12 pin connections. If things were normal, or let's say in year from now, they will not give you adapter, cause they will assume you have a compatible PSU. Personally as I said before, if I had to connect my PSU to a 12 pin I wouldn't have any problem cause there is a cheap cable from my PSU manufacturer to do so. For those that can't do that , they have to use the un-bendable cable to connect their cards and have enough space in their pc case to fit it without bending it. I assure you, that in any case I would have never used this adapter though.
If you look closely to what the owners/users of the adapter had, you would see that only one had Nvidia Fe, the rest had AiBs cards. So basically is not the quality of Nvidia's adapter. They could offer and 90 degree angled adapter to avoid any bendings ( or like the ones you posted with pcbs and embedded connectors) , but that would probably add to the costs and Ngridia doesn't want that.
In my initial post I expressed my concerns and my questions, why Nvidia is sticking and insist to use 12Pin cable even though the wattage requirements are not that hight to make it mandatory. And assuming they want a safe margin for 4090 watt consumption (which I can understand), the 4080 will have considerably lower consumption, so making that 12pin use kind of questionable.
Also AMD's upcoming cards will not use this 12pin connector or adapter.
P.S. I never said Mumbling???

It's a good looking card, I'll definitely give it that.

A press fit for 600 watts,
sorry but this needs to be a clamped or screwed connection.
Its a fire hazard its that simple.
Where's your electrical engineering degree?
Also, interesting that our power supplies people having been using for ages using north of 1000 watts depending on your config, or even rather something as simple as a 1200 watt microwave oven, and various other products people have in their houses, don't screw into the wall, but rather have a press fit connection to the wall.
