Gigabyte claims 5 world records and 27 global first places with X299 boards

Gigabyte is setting a bar very high for its competitors with a dominant five world records and twenty six global first places on GIGABYTE X299 platform well over a month from original platform launch.

This means that the scores have reached a peak and by this time we get to see the scores solidify and gives us an opportunity to see who's got the best platform available on the market. Enthusiasts worldwide who expect the best performance are now pushing the X299 platform to the max and while overclocking isn't for everyone, the records do show GIGABYTE X299 motherboards are leading the way and are best choice of hardware to power your next overclocking, gaming, video editing, VR and any other high performance PC you dream of!

The records set on the new platform are both 2D and 3D in nature. The 3D scores have all been set with Intel Core i7 7740X, while the global first places are 3D based with multi-threaded performance CPUs in 6 core (Core i7 7800X) 8 core (Core i7 7820X) and 10 core categories (Core i9 7900X).

Thanks Gigabyte, now I know why my GA-AX370-Gaming K7 was such a POS. Would have been nice if even 1/4 of your of X299 achievements went to the X370 K7 instead.

Gigabyte are also known to bait and switch. They send good spec boards to reviewers and over time, new revisions may come with sub-par (cheaper) components.

I switched from Gigabyte to MSI with my latest build and Im glad i did for that reason. Do you know how common it is and if a lot of board makers do it, or is Gigabyte really notorious for it? Their quality seems to have slipped and they even use fewer power phases than comparably priced MSI boards.

Nah, among well known companies MSI has a lot of failing rate in mobo department from my experience. Next is Gigabyte. ASUS/Asrock are by far the best for me. I won't comment about Gigabyte lowering material quality with newer revisions. As long as it works, I don't really care. I trust them.

Well if their first version has 6 power phases and all Japanese capacitors, and they release a new version right after that sucks, it bothers me even if it works. I want to get what i pay for.
