Gigabyte announces GTX 960 XTREME GAMING

We've posted about this SKU last week already, but the press release just went online. Gigabyte announced the release of GTX 960 XTREME GAMING graphics card - GV-N960XTREME-4GD.

The GTX 960 XTREME GAMING guarantees outstanding clock speed up to 1367MHz in OC mode, thanks to the top-notch GPU core with the very own GPU Gauntlet Sorting technology that ensures exceptional overclocking with stability. With One-click Overclock through OC GURU Utility, gamers could easily tune the card to meet their various gaming requirements without any overclocking knowledge, while saving the hassle of manual adjustment.

The card WindForce 2X cooling fans (90mm) and top logo have the RGB lights. Other then that this is your regular Xtreme model with a proper factory-overclock at 1304 MHz core and 1367 MHz GPU Boost (reference 1127 MHz core / 1178 MHz GPU Boost). The memory runs reference at 7010 MHz.

  • Boost: 1367 MHz/ Base: 1304 MHz in OC Mode
  • Boost: 1342 MHz/ Base: 1279 MHz in Gaming Mode

The card also takes advantage of the NVIDIA Maxwell technologies, including Multi-Frame Sampled Anti-Aliasing (MFAA), Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR), and 4K H.265 (HEVC) video decoding engine, to enhance image quality and power efficiency for an enriched gaming and home entertainment experience.

The GTX 960 XTREME GAMING boasts the WINDFORCE 2X cooling system with pure copper heat pipes which directly touch the GPU for better dissipation efficiency. The thermal performance is further improved by making use of the alternate spinning fans with unique fan blade design to significantly reduce air turbulence while keeping noise at minimum.
The WINDROCE is coupled with 3D-Active Fan, a semi-passive cooling design that allows gamers to enjoy gameplay in absolute silence during light gaming or idle. An LED fan indicator on the top of the card provides a gamer-friendly, instant display of the fan status.

The GTX 960 XTREME GAMING features full-spectrum RGB LED illumination. The exclusive LED angel eyes light up the dual cooling fans along with the illuminating XTREME GAMING emblem. Gamers are able to customize their own builds that best suit their gaming ambience with virtually unlimited color options and light effects using OC GURU.
The metal back plate with engraved XTREME GAMING logo offers rigidity and protection to the structure, while adding a sleek, clean look to the product.

The PCB of the GTX 960 XTREME GAMING is thoroughly applied with a breathable coating to shield against moisture, dust, and corrosion for a complete protection. This aerospace-grade coating is ideal for users who live in regions with high humidity, salt air pollution or extreme temperatures. With the use of the same highest-grade chokes and capacitors as those of Titan X, the graphics card delivers the ultimate integration of thermal, electric characteristics, digital signals, and power circuitry for enhanced performance and a longer lifespan. The smart power LED indicator is located next to the power connectors. When experiencing any power abnormality, the indicator will alert gamers by flashing light. Abnormal power-related events will recorded in the system as well through OC GURU as a useful reference for troubleshooting.
