GIGABYTE Adds GeForce GTX 970 Twin-Turbo Graphics Card

GIGABYTE Adds GeForce GTX 970 Twin-Turbo Graphics Card

Gigabyte is releasing their GeForce GTX 970 Twin-Turbo Graphics Cards. Under SKU code GV-N970TTOC-4GD you can find the new GeForce GTX 970. The cards come with a new type cooler.

The OC model card will be offered with a base clock of 1101 MHz abd 1241 MHz on the dynamic Boost clock frequency. Memory will remain reference clocked at 7 Gbps. The non OC model will get a reference clocks of 1076 MHz core, and 1216 MHz GPU Boost.

Pricing for these cards is set at the 300 USD level, with the OC model a tenner more expensive.

It would be nice for other vendors to start making custom blowers, but if that happens i wish they'll stay far away from gigabyte's design..far far away.

Totally agree.. This thing looks quite bad.
But about this, why aren't there many custom cards with blower-type fans? Blowers do tend to be better cooling solutions in SLI/CFX setups, no?

Bcs it can go up to 4000RPM its loud and will run at 80 degrees :puke2:

This cooler really reminds me of the one Asus showed with its white 970s. I think even if it's ugly the temp in SLi will be better than a custom or a reference cooler.

you can't assume that any certain style of cooler is better for SLI. There are many factors that are involved in your temps with your cards, spacing, case airflow, and other installed hardware just to name a few.
