Genesis THOR series, gaming keyboards with with Kailh mechanical switches

Genesis has released the "THOR" series of large gaming keyboards with removable palm rests. The housing design is common and there are variations of key switches, and the lineup includes three products: "THOR 401 RGB" equipped with Kailh Brown , "THOR 400 RGB" equipped with Kailh Red , and "THOR 380 RGB" equipped with Outemu Blue switch.

For each key switch, Kailh Brown and Kailh Red have a 45g load / 1.8mm actuation / 8ms response, and Outemu Blue has a 55g load and a heavy 2mm actuation / 8ms response. Both have the durability of 50 million inputs.

The top plate is made of high-quality aluminum and adopts a floating design that mounts the key switch framelessly. Dynamically enjoy software-customizable RGB LED lighting. In addition, a two-color molded cap using a transparent material is used for the keycap. The keyboard layout is a full-sized English layout with a numeric keypad, equipped with a physical dial with adjustable volume and backlight brightness. It also has an independent multimedia key. It also has features for gaming such as simultaneous pressing of all keys by N key rollover, full anti-ghosting, and Windows key lock.

They remind me of the Roccat AIMO keyboards, nice looking kbs. Hopefully, they'll be better than their last abysmal Thor 300 RGB/TKL keyboards. Those tend to break in less than 1 month, but they also use Outemu switches, not Kailh.

Have a TKL/Red and a full sized/Blue for 2,5 years now. The latter was used especially a LOT as I'm a journalist, and it's just fine. Well, the paint started to come off under the spacebar, the TKL has its random white LEDs turning yellow for a random amount of time, but that's that, despite they are getting a fair amount of punishment almost daily. They are not high quality stuff, that's for sure, but far from abysmal and are pretty good bang for the buck. The Outemu Blues more so, since the keycaps have less wobble compared to the Red ones.

I have no idea what you did with yours.

I'm strictly reffering to the Thor 300 Rgb model, the one with the Brown switches. If you could read the user reviews from my country (Romania) for that model, you would be amazed, most of them reporting dead switches after 1-2 months of usage. I personally wanted to buy that exact model because it is the only mechanical kb with my demands ( full format, brown switches, both "Enter" +"Left shift" keys in a large/big format), but after my last kb from Genesis, a plain membrane one had issues with "Spacebar" +"Left shift" keys ( for me and almost everyone who bought that model, absurd for a membrane kb), and after reading the user reviews for Thor300 RGB, I had to pass. As for the Outemu switches, I guess not all batches are the same in term of quality ( valid for most, if not all switch manufacturers). That's why I'm having trust issues regarding these new models and their build quality, despite having Kaihl switches. Meanwhile, I ordered a Lenovo K500 with Kaihl red for 50$, since they havr decent reviews, but I really hope these new kbs from Genesis will be alright, I'd like a Brown switch version in the future from them. Sry for my bad english.
