GeForce RTX 3060 Surfaces in AotS being 19% faster than GeForce RTX 2060

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is to be launched soon, the first benchmarks of this graphics card started leaking. In Ashes of the Singularity (AotS) software, the RTX 3060 popped up twice and managed to hit 6800 points and 69.9 FPS in its best test, at 1080p resolution with the Crazy preset.

Both tests were carried out by the same user, who accompanied the new GPU with an Intel Core i7-8700K processor, obtaining an average of 6700 points (the other test gave 6600 points and 67 FPS). Thus, for comparison, the GeForce RTX 3060 is 19% faster than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 2060. In addition, it manages to outperform the RTX 2070 by 9%. GeForce RTX 3060 is based on the GA106 GPU and features 3,584 CUDA cores along with 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit memory interface and power consumption of 170W.

In a parallel universe where crypto currency is none existent this card would be quite a good one for many Pascal users who have been waiting long.

It will be an extremely underwhelming card if it's not at MSRP.

Nope I did not miss this ;)
The problem we are having here still the rest of the Ampere family still overpriced as hell.
So there is not a chance you can have these cards at MSRP not even close to that.
Also the nerfed RTX 3060 still can do roughly $7/day...

www.tomshardware.com/amp/news/rtx-3060-still-profitable-mining

So I cannot foresee a nice and cheap future for these 3060 cards :(

Is there any indication of what the MRSP is supposed to be? I've even forgotten what the 3060ti MRSP was supposed to be as prices are so high. Was that $399? So this should be $300 or a bit higher.

With the neutering or it for mining, hopefully, and bitcoin currently going down in price, could be some hope. We really need bitcoin to crash through the floor, like it did a long time back in 2018 so people find it unprofitable to mine.

Do people think there may be an even cheaper 6GB ram version of it on its 192bit bus? 12 seems like overkill for this segment of the market presumably running lower resolutions, 1920 or 2560.
