GeForce RTX 3060 Surfaces in AotS being 19% faster than GeForce RTX 2060
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is to be launched soon, the first benchmarks of this graphics card started leaking. In Ashes of the Singularity (AotS) software, the RTX 3060 popped up twice and managed to hit 6800 points and 69.9 FPS in its best test, at 1080p resolution with the Crazy preset.
Both tests were carried out by the same user, who accompanied the new GPU with an Intel Core i7-8700K processor, obtaining an average of 6700 points (the other test gave 6600 points and 67 FPS). Thus, for comparison, the GeForce RTX 3060 is 19% faster than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 2060. In addition, it manages to outperform the RTX 2070 by 9%. GeForce RTX 3060 is based on the GA106 GPU and features 3,584 CUDA cores along with 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit memory interface and power consumption of 170W.

700 EUR for a 3060? Bloody hell. My friend picked up a used Waterforce 2080Ti for 2650 PLN just a couple of months ago.

Or when Intel cpus used to overclock 40-50%. And had no "K" series DRM locking them down
My very first gaming PC had a Pentium E2160 Dual Core. I paid like $59 for that CPU (it was the bargain cpu of its day). And I overclocked it from 1.8GHz to 3.0GHz, with the stock crappy cooler. It performed similar to the E6600.
These days people brag about overclocking a 5GHz CPU to 5.3GHz. Like that 6% really makes a difference or is worth the $200 cooler it is paired with. GPU generations are tinier than ever. And 16GB of RAM still costs more than it did in 2012. Only thing that has really improved in value are SSDs.

this is weak considering 2070 was a 106 die too.
