GeForce RTX 3060 Surfaces in AotS being 19% faster than GeForce RTX 2060
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is to be launched soon, the first benchmarks of this graphics card started leaking. In Ashes of the Singularity (AotS) software, the RTX 3060 popped up twice and managed to hit 6800 points and 69.9 FPS in its best test, at 1080p resolution with the Crazy preset.
Both tests were carried out by the same user, who accompanied the new GPU with an Intel Core i7-8700K processor, obtaining an average of 6700 points (the other test gave 6600 points and 67 FPS). Thus, for comparison, the GeForce RTX 3060 is 19% faster than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 2060. In addition, it manages to outperform the RTX 2070 by 9%. GeForce RTX 3060 is based on the GA106 GPU and features 3,584 CUDA cores along with 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit memory interface and power consumption of 170W.

people need cards other than 1080ti.
no one is born with a 1080ti,you need to buy a card to have one.
and when this time comes,it's better to have one with mroe features, like dlss, that will greatly, greatly prolong their life.
if everything was indeed available, buying a 1080ti over a 2070 super would be just dumb.

The 19% value is misleading, several of the 2060 scores on the AotS benchmark page are unreliable, since they're matching the 2060 Super scores.

No news, just an Nvidia sponsored advert implying a near 20% performance increase over the counterpart 20xx series card.

I usually purchase 60 series Nvidia cards, I have actually never paid more than 300 for one.... 60 series is not a high end video card series, it should not be priced as one.

Before pointing at the 1660 you need to realize that is not a true 60 series card, it's a filler card because Nvidia wants to push prices up for the actual 60 series cards.
The 1660 is also grossly overpriced.

For the MSRP, +19% is very underwhelming. Adding the mining tax, it's DOA.
I don't know why Nvidia keeps insisting on RTX when there is a big market at low/mid end that does not care.
Bellow 3070 RTX isn't worth enabling, I know I wouldn't. And the DLSS argument, degrading image quality for performance? Nah.
People still want and would buy faster GTX card. I'm sure allot of 1080/Ti owners are clinging on their GPUs.
