GeForce RTX 3060 Surfaces in AotS being 19% faster than GeForce RTX 2060
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is to be launched soon, the first benchmarks of this graphics card started leaking. In Ashes of the Singularity (AotS) software, the RTX 3060 popped up twice and managed to hit 6800 points and 69.9 FPS in its best test, at 1080p resolution with the Crazy preset.
Both tests were carried out by the same user, who accompanied the new GPU with an Intel Core i7-8700K processor, obtaining an average of 6700 points (the other test gave 6600 points and 67 FPS). Thus, for comparison, the GeForce RTX 3060 is 19% faster than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 2060. In addition, it manages to outperform the RTX 2070 by 9%. GeForce RTX 3060 is based on the GA106 GPU and features 3,584 CUDA cores along with 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit memory interface and power consumption of 170W.

Of course 1 benchmark is not a benchmark and we can't draw conclusion from that, but IF this is the average difference, that means it is just a bit above the 2070. Even in the last gen, which saw lower performance uplifts than the predecessors, the 2060 was able to match the 1080. Now the 3060 would be just above the 2070. That would be a shame regarding its price.

I'm already ready to give up on this generation, wait for 4000 series, perhaps by that time mining boom sh** will be over and we only have to deal with random scalpers (which is fine, that always existed in the first few months after a launch)
