It's been tough to see the substantial shortages of graphics cards currently. And the news for the coming months ain't positive either as they could last for several months into 2021.

The shortages of Nvidia's RTX 3000 video cards could continue for several months. Nvidia's chief financial officer reported this during a conference call with shareholders. In addition, the company reported record sales in the past quarter.

"Although we anticipated strong demand, it actually exceeded our expectations," said Colette Kress during the conference call. The chief financial officer cites, among other things, 'capacity problems' in the hardware sector as the reason for the shortages. As a result, it may take a few months before Nvidia can keep up with this demand. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang previously reported that the shortages around the RTX 3000 GPUs will continue until 2021.
