GeForce GTX 980 and GTX 970 Pricing
Unconfirmed rumor sets the upcoming GeForce GTX 970 and 980 pricing at US $399 and US $599 respectively. I am tagging this as big rumor as the price difference is just too much.
Then again if you look at prices more closely, the 399 USD marker is awfully close to the GTX 780 and the 599 USD marker is rather close to the GTX 780 Ti. Well, just a couple of more days and we'll see how powerful the cards are, what new features they have and what the final pricing will be.
GeForce GTX 970 and 980 is expected to launch during the upcoming GAME24 event which starts On September 18th 2014 at 6 pm PDT.

Huh I can not see how the 980 will be < than a 780Ti, regardless of the so called specs it seems like it has to be at least 20% > than a 780Ti else what be the point?
If the card is < $ than a 780Ti but the same performance you just killed you 700 line of GPUs. If the only benefit is power usage and heat practically no one will care.
If the card was single slot = to a 780Ti then you could at least do 5 Way in the new X99 mobos well the ones that let you do that.
Since this is not the case I just can not see how it will not be at least 20% or else everyone pretty much will flame N as a failure regardless of the technical marvel of the power usage etc.
Numbers/Benches and $ is what it is all about nothing else really matters at this point.

If the 970 is gonna cost 350 euro, I'm gonna buy one. If more, there's not a chance. And of course, I'm talking about my beloved Windforce. My last 2 were Gigabyte.
