GeForce GTX 1650 Regains Top Spot as Most Popular GPU Among Steam Gamers

In Valve's most recent Steam Hardware and Software Survey, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 has once again secured its place as the leading graphics card utilized by gamers on the platform.



 April's survey demonstrates a return to normal participation rates, with the GeForce GTX 1650, GeForce GTX 1060, and GeForce RTX 2060 all making the top 5 list of most popular GPUs. Interestingly, the RTX 3060 has seen a drop in market share, with the GTX 1060 now in the second position.

Below are the top 5 graphics cards on Steam for March and April:

March:

  1. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
  2. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
  3. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
  4. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
  5. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

April:

  1. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
  2. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
  3. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
  4. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU for laptops
  5. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

The April survey also indicates an upswing in Windows 11 usage on user PCs, now found on 34.64% of devices. Intel continues to be the leading processor manufacturer with a share of over 67%, while AMD reverts to pre-March levels. The most prevalent gaming PC configuration on Steam includes Windows 10 64-bit, 16GB RAM, a 6-core CPU, a main monitor resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD), and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 as the graphics card of choice.

It's worth mentioning that the March survey displayed considerable fluctuations, and Valve does not disclose in-depth information regarding the database employed for generating the survey. Participation is both voluntary and anonymous, with the gathered data assisting Steam in making informed decisions about technological investments and product offerings
