In-house: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Photos

In-house: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Photos

Last week Nvidia announced the Geforce GTX 1080 Ti, later this week the review embargo will be lifted. But today we are allowed to show you a few photos.

We have received the product and are well under way with our benchmarks. So consider this a bit of an unboxing photo session.

the new high-end GTX 1080 Ti features 3584 CUDA Cores, 224 Texture Units, a 352-bit memory controller and 11 GB of GDDR5X memory. The card should be faster than a reference Titan X and 30% faster compared to a GTX 1080. The card has the same "GP102" GPU as the TITAN X Pascal, the GTX 1080 Ti but was slightly cut-down. Interesting is the 352-bit with GDDR5X memory interface, this was not expected. This translates to 11 memory chips on the card which run at 11 GHz (GDDR5X-effective), the memory bandwidth is 484 GB/s. Thiis means the ROP count is would be 88 (from 96 on the TITAN X Pascal), and the TMU count 224.The Ti will boost up to 1600 MHz, but the overclocking potential is much like all GeForce Pascal cards in the 2 GHz range. The GTX 1080 Ti has 8-pin and 6-pin power connectors.

The card does not have a DVI output, but a DisplayPort to DVI converter is included with this Founders Edition as bundle.

Have a peek at the photos, click on the thumbnails to enlarge.

So this would mean that this card with its capabilities of using the TITAN X (P) water blocks is able to use just "ONE" slot in spacing??

Most WC block maker have confirmed so... and some have made special WB.

just ask when you have it but it seem so.

"DeskStar So this would mean that this card with its capabilities of using the TITAN X (P) water blocks is able to use just "ONE" slot in spacing??"

I Would assume so, the layout does look similar. though i would wait for WB makers to come out and directly say it just incase.

Though just having 2 of these will be a massive step up from Vanilla Titan, though i'm not sure if the 1080ti can do 3/4 (unless Nvidia are still doing those codes to allow for it) i know the 1080 had a similar sli issue when going past 2 cards.

Like the cleaner backend without the DVI connector but no one seems to be moaning. When Apple took out the 3.5mm audio jack people went bunkers lol

Very different situations. A lot of people are still using wired earbuds and headphones with their phones and sometimes the wireless solution did not work so well. Plus many phones prior to Apple removing the headphone jack had a headphone jack. Plus convince is what people were complaining about. As far as doing a away with the DVI connector people have adapted by upgrading their monitor or using adapters.
