Doom Eternal was updated with Ray-Tracing and DLSS support to improve the graphics quality of those using the GeForce RTX graphics card and game performance.

Ray-Tracing is used to calculate reflections that significantly improve the game, both on opaque and transparent surfaces. In order to continue with high performance, the game now has also DLSS support, you can choose from a range of profiles to balance performance with quality.

The performance in 1920 × 1080 is still magnificenteven when using Ray-Tracing. Even an RTX 2060 can exceed 100 FPS with DLSS Quality, having excellent graphic quality thanks to Ray-Tracing and maintaining perfect playability thanks to the use of DLSS.

1440p, the performance is still very good. Even without DLSS the RTX 2060 reaches 60FPS, and when activating DLSS we go to 82FPS. A more powerful graphics like the 3060 Ti reaches 136 FPS with DLSS Quality, allowing you to take full advantage of 1440p monitors with high refresh rates.

4K we can continue to maintain high FPS thanks to the use of DLSS Performance. Already with an RTX 3060 we can pass 60 FPS in 4K without problem, being fully playable without the need for an RTX 3080.

If you plan to play this new update of Doom Eternal, we recommend that you download the GeForce Game Ready 471.11 WHQL drivers optimized for this update.
