A report by NPD claims sales of video games in the US topped $591 million in July - that's an nice 41 percent gain over July 2007. The cumulative video game sales figure for 2008 is now $4.9 billion. Here's a quick look at the ten most popular games in July 2008:

  • 2. Wii Fit (Wii): 370,000
  • 3. Guitar Hero: On Tour (DS): 310,000
  • 4. Wii Play (Wii): 284,000
