Samsung intros a new Galaxy View tablet, it has a Full HD 18.4 inch screen. Baked right into the interface is a quick launch screen for popular streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, ESPN, and Twitch.

The Galaxy view has a huge 18.4-inch 1080p (1920x1080 / 120ppi)  screen, kickstand, and handle. Other specs include a 1.6Ghz octa-core processor and a front-facing camera with a resolution of 2.1MP. You can get 32 or 64GB of storage, but expand it with a microSD slot. The SIM card tray will come in handy if you want to connect the tablet to a data plan for always-ready streaming. There's a 5700mAh battery (that's about the same as the Galaxy Tab S2), which claims to give you 8 hours of video playback.

It measures 451.8 x 275.8 x 11.9mm and weighs 2.65kg. There are a collection of power and volume buttons, while a Micro-USB allows to you charge or connect controllers for gaming.

In the press release, Samsung vaguely mentions that the Galaxy View has a special interface and home screen where all your favorite video streaming apps live. One picture from the company shows a grid format with popular apps like Hulu, Netflix, History, YouTube, Crackle, and more. However, the device is actually running Android 5.1 Lollipop. Samsung further says that the Galaxy View is purely an entertainment device that’s geared toward gameplay, video streaming, and other visual experiences.
