Galaxy Note 8 will retail for 999 euro

Galaxy Note 8 will retail for 999 euro

Reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is going to cost a whopping 999 euro. It seems year after year prices keep going upwards, in the end people simply keep buying such expensive smartphones in significant volumes. The Note 8 would be released in September.

The  info from Evan Blass from Venturebeats / EVreports are considered to be trustworty and he is mostly spot on the information. The ohione would geta screen similar to the Galaxy S8 sets, with an aspect ratio of 18,5:9 with a 6.3" screen diagonal (AMOLED).

The S8’s curved edges fit perfectly in hands of all sizes, and the premium metal and glass construction seal the deal. The new Note 8 would get a a dual camera (zoom/wide)and the typical S Pen. The Note 8 would get a Snapdragon 835-soc from Qualcomm, that or a nExynos 8895 tied towards 6GB RAM. Thus this would be the second device after the C9 Pro be that has more than 4GB main memory. Note8 will be powered by a relatively conservative 3300mAh battery, a sign that the company is loath to repeat the debacle of last year’s Note7 recalls and eventual cancellation. The dual camera would have two sensors twelve megapixels and feature stabilization.

The €999 retail price should translate to a little over $900, given that the €799 Galaxy S8 and €899 S8+ initially sold unlocked for about $725 and $825, respectively. The briefed individual claimed that the Note 8 will be available at launch in shades of black, blue, and gold.

LOL! You are using S7 and Android, but still talk about backdoors?
Should I send you a tinfoil hat? No, really, drop me your address and one will be going your way already on Monday!

And don't read below.
---------------

Jeez, 1000 Euro for a phone?!? People, this is just a phone. A Phone (a device to call someone else)! Just with several additional features.
Are they crazy?
I would better buy a heavily used car, if I need one, rather than a phone.
Or Huawei for 200 Euro (ok, it was 300 - discount), as I already did.

Tin makes really poor EMI shielding. Electromagnetic compliance is actually an interesting subject. Youd actually want to use layers of copper and aluminum, depending on what youre shielding.

But so is cybersecurity.

I intentionally avoid any electronics from China. Managed to avoid China for much of my PC actually. My RAM is even made in USA.
