Galax has broadened its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards selection with the introduction of new Hydro variants. Now available in white, these cards will also be released in black at a subsequent date.

Unlike its predecessor, the new design incorporates a 360mm AIO liquid cooler with a triple-fan configuration and 50cm tubing. Additionally, it includes a full-cover aluminum alloy backplate, according to Galax's product details.

Though it's yet to be determined where the RTX 4090 Hydro cards fall within Galax's model hierarchy, their positioning seems to be below the top-of-the-line air-cooled HoF (Hall of Fame) version. The HoF model comes with a boost clock of 2595 MHz and a 1-Click OC Clock of 2610 MHz, which can be activated using Galax's software. The Hydro model, on the other hand, has a boost clock of 2580 MHz, which aligns it with the air-cooled 4090 SG 1-Click OC variant. However, it appears that the Hydro model does not include the software-enabled overclocking feature found in the other models.

Subsequently, Galax has discreetly introduced a new graphics card based on NVIDIA's flagship RTX 40 SKU, the RTX 4090. Despite not belonging to the HOF (Hall of Fame) series, this premium GPU exhibits notable design features and specifications. The HYDRO White variant is equipped with a 360mm external radiator and 50cm tubes. Though the card relies on the radiator for cooling, it is not compact in size, measuring 15cm in width, an increase from the standard 13.5cm (I/O bracket height). This indicates the use of a custom board design by Galax, even though images of this particular part haven't been released.

As per the official website, the RTX 4090 Hydro White model comes with a full-cover aluminum alloy backplate and lacks fans on the card itself. The low-profile water pump is hidden beneath a polygonal-shaped shroud, leading to minimal air exhaust on the card. The heat dissipation process is controlled by the 360mm radiator, accompanied by three dual-bearing 120mm fans.

Galax has confirmed a clock speed of 2580 MHz for the RTX 4090 Hydro. Although not the highest among other AIO solutions, it outperforms Gigabyte's AORUS Waterforce (2565 MHz) and is on par with Inno3D's iChill Black (2580 MHz). Considering the variety of AIO solutions for the RTX 4090, Galax has announced plans to launch a black edition in addition to the white version.
