Gainward & Palit Increase Warranty, now three years
The warranty period for Palit and Gainward (both have the same underlying company) GeForce graphics cards has been extended, the warranty for both brands was 24 months, now it is 36 months or three years.
The three-year warranty applies to all Gainward and Palit GeForce GPU models, whether it's a GeForce GT 1030 or a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti reports computerbase. The only condition is that the video card was purchased after 1 January 2018 or that a sticker with a three-year warranty on the packaging was already affixed before that time. The warranty remains to be carry-in, aka you return it towards the seller and not at Palit or Gainward itself.
In the past Gainward already offered a three-year warranty, which got changed to two years at one point.

Imo 3 yrs should of been the minimum anyway, 2 yrs says one of 2 things....we dont trust our product past 2 yrs or we want more money in less than 2 yrs and we dont want you to be able to resell to prospective buyers of new products, also not fare on people who had products bought for them at Christmas 2017 unless they came with the 3yr sticker which i dought really happened.
Whilst i`ll admit to being a bit of an Evga fanboy i think this sort of practice would just put me off even considering buying second products and anything before a including 980ti will be dead money spent, but on the other hand should help buyers push second hand prices down

When a device is as expensive as the better video cards, only 2 years of warranty is pretty dubious. If we are talking about the entry level cards, I wouldn't consider 2 years as unreasonable. The profit margin in those isn't exactly phenomenal for either the manufacturer or the shop.

Well this is an over looked put a welcome move, since I'm probably selling my Palit card with two year warranty before it runs out this year. Otherwise I could use it for much longer, but I just don't trust PC components today with many condensators and heating elements to last that long. It really sucks if you own an expensive card and it just zips out with warranty expired. I just wish there would be decently priced Vega 56 cards soon enough to make the change. This time I will not pick a card with less than a three year warranty.

Sapphire RX Vega 56 Nitro+ has two year warranty.

So they should! Sapphire was only doing 2 yrs not that long ago. Who in their right mind would throw away an extra 50% more warranty ?
