Gainward Launches GeForce GTX 1060 IceSoul 6GB Liquid Cooled Graphics Card

And yes, the GeForce GTX 1060 IceSoul sure looks pretty. But really why would one ever need liquid cooling on such a card? Anyway, the card can be added into your DIY loop and has been fitted with a full cover water-block.

The card has an acrylic cover with LEDs. The custom-design PCB is fitted with both a 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe power connector, quite a lot for a GTX 1060 really. it also has an 8-phase VRM. You will also spot a dual-bios and display connectors wise you get three DisplayPort 1.4, and one HDMI 2.0b and DVI.

The clock freqeuncy is 1621 MHz nase and 1847 MHz GPU Boost (reference is 1506/1709 MHz). The memory is left at 8.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory. The GTX 1060 with 6Gb has 1280 shader cores. Pricing has yet to be announced.

This is insane. Who is gonna pay a premium for a better cooled 1060 if you can get a 1070 with this little extra money?

The fans on my MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6gb do not turn on until the card reaches 60c and above. But honestly they never activate because the card never gets hotter than 57c and that is even with an overclock. So personally I think the watercooling is a waste.

Why?!?!?!?!? It only takes a paperclip and two razor blades to cool a 1060.

water cooling on 1060 feels like being the kid with the biggest dick in kindgergarten, cool but pointless.
