Gainward and Galax have released new RTX 3060 cards with a partially deactivated GA104 GPU. GA104 processors are utilized in faster versions of RTX 30 GPUs. The new RTX 3060 appears to have the same specs.

Gainward and Galax have updated their RTX 3060 models in China and mention this on their websites. They claim to sell RTX 3060 cards with GA140-150 GPUs. It has a GA106-300 or GA106-302 GPU with 3584 CUDA cores. GA104 GPUs are used in the RTX 3060 Ti, 3070, and 3070 Ti.

The GA104-150 GPU's specs are roughly the same as the GA106 chips in prior RTX 3060 models. The video card's 192-bit interface and 12GB GDDR6 memory remain unaltered, as do the chip's 3584 CUDA cores. RTX 3060 with GA104 processor appears to be limited to China for now. The suggested retail price remains the same as GA106.

Nvidia hasn't officially announced an RTX 3060 GA104 update. The corporation can still use GA104 GPUs that aren't good enough for an RTX 3060 Ti or above due to RTX 3060 faults. We've seen this before, a while ago EVGA (for example) introduced a KO GeForce RTX 2060 in January 2017 with a partially deactivated RTX 2080 GPU.
