G.SKILL Trident Z RGB DDR4-3466 32GB (4x8GB) Memory Kit for AMD X399 Platform

G.Skill is pleased, as they are thrilled to expand their "Trident Z RGB (for AMD)" series memory to DDR4-3466 CL18-22-22-42 32GB (4x8GB) for AMD X399 platform.

Taipei, Taiwan (14 January 2019) – G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., the world’s leading manufacturer of extreme performance memory and gaming peripherals, is excited to announce a new memory specification of DDR4-3466 CL18-22-22-42 with 32GB (4x8GB) capacity configuration at 1.35V for the high performance AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor and X399 platform. This memory kit will join the G.SKILL "Trident Z RGB (for AMD)" series, also known as the TZRX models.

Previously, the highest DDR4 speed available for the AMD X399 platform from G.SKILL was DDR4-3200. G.SKILL is now expanding the specifications to DDR4-3466 under the quad-channel configuration. This kit has been validated with the ASUS ROG ZENITH EXTREME ALPHA motherboard and AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X processor, as shown in the screenshots below:

These new "Trident Z RGB (for AMD)" series DDR4-3466 CL18-22-22-42 32GB (4x8GB) 1.35V kits will be available via G.SKILL worldwide distribution partners in Q1 2019.

So... what makes them "AMD" specific? The profile of AMP (or what it's called) instead of XMP?

G.Skill Trident Z Silver/Red DDR4 3600MHz 2x8GB (F4-3600C15D-16GTZ)
Running them at 3466 MHz and CAS 14 on an 1700X. Sure, laxer timings might be required for 4x8, but not exactly impressed by this launch.

So not a Threadrippe then!

A lot of X399 owners have been having issues getting their memory stable above 3200 MHz and the G Skill has been amongst the best for this particular chipset. Higher rated RAM from a trustd brand is most definitely welcome.
