G.SKILL Launches 256GB (8x 32GB) DDR4-3600 Trident-Z Neo Memory Kits

G.SKILL announces an all-new high capacity, low-latency memory kit, Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 CL16-20-20 256 GB (32GBx8) 1.35 V, for the latest AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X processor.

Built with the latest high-density 16Gb components, this new DDR4 memory specification offers a perfect choice for those pursuing ultimate memory performance or attempting to build a powerful workstation for heavy content creation workloads. With the ultra-high kit capacity of 256 GB, G.SKILL is now pushing the performance boundary of 32 GB modules to a high level of DDR4-3600 on the high core-count AMD Threadripper platform. Optimized to unlock the full potential of the newest AMD 64-core processor, the Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 CL16 256 GB (32 GB x8) has been validated with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X processor and the ASUS ROG ZENITH II EXTREME ALPHA motherboard, as shown in the screenshot below.

This ultra-high-capacity and low-latency memory specification will be available via G.SKILL worldwide distribution partners in Q2 2020.

I remember when PC's had 256MB of system memory. ...Well, not exactly that value, I remember more the 16MB. There was a gap of time during the late 1990's where our PC was good enough to do the things we needed it to so we didn't upgrade it. I guess I more remember when an ATI video card my older bro bought me in the early 2000's had probably 128 or maybe 256MB of memory.

Anyways, 256GB is pretty BOSS if you're the 1% that can actually tax a system to that level.

Lol my IBM XT 286 PC had the upgraded high capacity 40MB hard drive vs the 20MB one :)

I remember my first programming job in a DC office in 1993. I requested my workstation be upgraded to 4MB of ram when everyone else had only 2MB. Everyone was jealous but I needed it to develop in-house apps.
