Free to grab: Surviving Mars at Epic Games Store
Epic Games Store has put on offer Surviving Mars to claim for free this week, taking the place of Minit. Surviving Mars, developed by Haemimont Games and published by Paradox, is a city-building simulation game giving players the task of building a habitable base on the Martian surface. It involves managing resources, constructing habitable domes and buildings within those domes, and looking after the needs of residents living in these confined domes. Haemimont Games originally released the game in 2018 and has previously worked on several city-building titles, including Tropico 3, 4, and 5. If you wish to claim Surviving Mars, here’s its store page. It will be free to claim until October 17, which is when Epic will put on offer '>Observer_' and Alan Wake: American Nightmare for its next giveaway.

I came same conclusion sadly, I did love simcity stuff back on the day, but I also think back in then simcity was sprites game and I think that was why i loved it so much. some types of games just dont belong in 3D. atlest to me it kind ruins the feel of certain types games
but hey the game made me install Epics launcher for first time, then again install on my uncles pc and my personal pc, epic launcher still not touched my pc.
could be AMD thing I didnt noticed any such thing we both have Nvidia he has AMD could be Epic thing too who knows.

Not sure what EGS is, but when its UI is active, it eats ~40% of my CPU. When I was clicking this "order", it was using it 100%.
I was checking it in task manager as I have temperature shown on MB and fans started to spin fast.
Closing its window => 0%. Starting it again 40%.
I am adding their nice free games. But outside of adding them, I am not currently using their launcher and do not play those games.
You had me scared with this. I use Uplay, Origin, Battlenet and Steam. I have never used Epic game launcher. But I've been wanting this game so I bit the bullet. I don't know what the problem is that you are having, but luckily I don't experience that. The Epic launcher is sitting there at 0% cpu usage. With Steam, Battlenet and Epic launcher running and several tabs in Chrome open and file explorer open I am sitting at 5-6% cpu usage right now. Most of that is file explorer and chrome it seems.
