That statement is self-contradictory :-/ How do you highly doubt it's not worth anyone's concern if you don't know exactly what kind of data it collects?
I don't know exactly what kind of data this game collects, but I highly doubt it's worth anyone's concern.

It's not self-contradictory, because not all data is incriminating. If they're recording stuff like how many hours I play, which days of the week I'm playing, people on my Friends list, or other games in my library, I don't care - they can go ahead and collect it. But for some people, that's enough to be classified as spyware. What I highly doubt is if they're going to scan my drive for personal data and find a way to steal whatever is attached to my name.

Well, it happened even with big games. Civilization VI for example, and other games.
Don't know if this is indeed the case with this game. I've seen people in the review section of this game's steam page mentioning spyware. So it's just a heads-up if people want to investigate further.
The developer excuses are the best! “Whilst Red Shell is only used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, we can see that players are clearly concerned about it and it will be difficult for us to entirely reassure every player,”, make a really good game and you will see that advertising will not be your first concern. some tricks of developers to squeeze some dollars more for their work are just too abusive.

Nowadays, people's definition of spyware is "anything that collects any kind of user data at all without the user's permission". I don't know exactly what kind of data this game collects, but I highly doubt it's worth anyone's concern.
