Free to grab: Killing Floor 2, Lifeless Planet and The Escapists 2 (APIC)

Three games are temporarily free at Epic Games Store; starting today and lasting until Thursday, July 16th 2020, they’re giving away Killing Floor 2, Lifeless Planet and The Escapists 2

Killing Floor 2

In KILLING FLOOR 2, players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union— Just one month after the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.

Killing Floor 2 has 78 score at OpenCritic, it usually costs $26.99 but will be available for free at Epic Games Store until July 16th 2020. Get it for free at this link.

 Lifeless Planet: Premier Edition

Equipped with a limited-use jet-pack and a mobile robotic arm, the player must use wits and skill to solve puzzles, unravel the mystery, and survive the Lifeless Planet!

Key Features:

  • Explore 20 unique and atmospheric environments on a vast and treacherous planet.
  • Follow a mysterious young woman as she guides you past dangerous terrain and deadly life-forms.
  • Investigate the startling discovery of an abandoned Russian town.
  • Experience an exciting and intriguing story through rich graphics and cinematic cut-scenes.

Lifeless Planet Premier Edition has 59 score at OpenCritic, it usually costs $19.99 but will be available for free at Epic Games Store until July 16th 2020. Get it for free at this link.

The Escapists 2

Risk it all to breakout from the toughest prisons in the world. Explore the biggest prisons yet, with multiple floors, roofs, vents and underground tunnels.
You’ll have to live by the prison rules, attending roll call, doing prison jobs and following strict routines; all the while secretly engineering your bid for freedom!
Your prison escape antics will take you from the frosty Fort Tundra, a train hurtling through the desert, and even to the final frontier!

The Escapists 2 has 75 score at OpenCritic, it usually costs $19.99 but will be available for free at Epic Games Store until July 16th 2020. Get it for free at this link.

Just head over to Epic Games Store or navigate to the games in their launcher before July 16th 2020, add the games to your cart and checkout. Simple as that. After that, the games are yours to keep, and play, forever.

Does anybody know if Epic has a way to "paste" games files into the Epic games folder and the when you download a game it recognize the already existing files and just download the rest, just as steam does with the steamapp folder?

I wanna download the pirate version via torrent in my cellphone and then just transfer the other files to my PC, since my ethernet internet is beyomd crap (3 MB) compared to wifi network i have 15 MB. It will save me some time and wanna jump into KF2.

Honestly, what do you think?
Epic is a competitor unlike Humble Bundle which is a reseller.
What you can do is using GOG Galaxy to have all games showing up at one place, still requires launchers for every place where you a game you want to play though.

Frankly, Steam should invest more in Big Picture Mode and Steam Input. At this point they're the only serious reasons I'm preferring it as a platform.
