Microsoft also has noticed that giving away free games really helps attract users towards your platform. Microsoft Store is offering five free games in one fell swoop: Farming Simulator 14 , Farming Simulator 16 , Omega Rally Championship , Blackbeard's Cove, and Spider Jet Flight - Shoot & Strike .

These are fairly simple games though, but great for hanging out or to kill some time.

“With Farming Simulator 16 you can manage your own farm thanks to huge vehicles from 20 different manufacturers, such as New Holland, Case IH, Ponsse, Lamborghini, Horsch, Krone, Amazone or MAN, among others.Play at your own pace in a simulated open world. Buy new land to expand the farm and control combines and tractors to cultivate the land, plant seeds, and sell the crop. Hire AI-controlled helpers and run the business with a full-screen management map. ”

If you are not interested in these games but are still looking for free games, we remind you that in the Epic Games Store they are giving away Pathway, and on Steam they are giving away Injustice: Among The Gods Ultimate Edition.

Man, does anyone actually need to buy games to kill off some times anymore?

Just add it via the steam store page in steam itself, way easier.

The link is localised so it doesn't work for all... just go to Steam and search the name of the free game in any case.

Well, effectively a free game is paying you the game key to get you to play it on any specific launcher you can claim it on... more or less, Epic already makes a big deal out of paying people to use their platform
