Free to Grab: Ark Survival Evolved and Samurai Shodown Collection at EGS

As expected, EPIC Game Store would be handing out another AAA title, well, it's going to be two. Epic Games announced via Facebook that ARK: Survival Evolved can be downloaded from its online store from later today completely free of charge.

First off, the new giveaway will commence 8 hours after writing this news-item.

There is other news as well as SNK announced that Samurai Shodown - Neo Geo Collection will also be available for free at the Epic Games Store starting tomorrow. It is a collection of seven classic games, so adding Ark, you would take a total of eight games without paying a single dollar/EURO which we think is good value for dollah.

Ark Survival Evolved

“As a naked man or woman, frozen and starving on the shores of a mysterious island called ARK, you must hunt, collect, build objects, plant crops, research technologies, and build shelters to withstand the elements. Use your cunning and resources to kill or tame dinosaurs and other primitive beings, and partner with other players or attack them to survive, dominate ... and escape! ”

In all those years ARK had (kindly said) trouble on delivering optimization promises.
But they surely had no problem spending millions of man-hours at producing DLCs and stand alone spinoffs to make more money.

Therefore basic ARK being free now, when everyone interested got it years ago, is not causing financial loss from new players. It is only potential loss from not double dipping on 2 separated delivery platforms.
(Which is minimal.)
