Forza Horizon 4 removes Carlton and Floss dances from game after Fortnite lawsuit
The developers of the racing game Forza Horizon 4 will remove two well-known dance moves from the game. One of them the 'Carlton' and 'Floss', moves.
Developers Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios write about the removal of the dances in an update text for Forza Horizon 4. In the racing game, players can unlock dances to express themselves. Among the dances are some famous movements, such as the moonwalk, the macarena and the dance of Drake from the clip for the song Hotline Bling.
The removal of the dances follows after the popular shooting game Fortnite was denounced for violating copyrights. The Carlton dance is known from the sitcom The Fresh Prince or Bel-Air . Actor Alfonso Ribeiro, who plays in the Carlton Banks series, sued Fortnite developer Epic Games last December.
Shortly thereafter, the mother of Russell Horning complained to the developer, because Fortnite used the 'Flossing dance', which made Horning famous. Horning is known on social media as Backpack Kid. Other games were also sued for alleged unlawful use of dances. For example, Ribeiro and rapper 2 Milly filed lawsuits against publisher 2K Games, in order to play in the NBA 2K game that would resemble their dances.
The Playground team has been busy with fixes and changes as well. Some highlights:
- Resolved issue where Drivatar names could be duplicated in events.
- Fixed an issue where turning off Rewind in difficulty menu would prevent users from being able to rewind during route creation.
- Prevented damage being applied to player car when restarting British Racing Green: Chapter 10.
- Improved visibility of Street Race event finish lines.
- Fixed an issue where passing through a Danger Sign twice in quick succession would cause all other PR stunts to stop working.
- Fixed an issue where the Speed Trap near the train bridge could be exploited.
- The ‘Carlton’ and ‘Floss’ avatar emotes are no longer available.
Series 5 also sees a number of improvements for Forza Horizon 4 wheel players, including:
- Fixed issue where Average Slip Damper was not working on wheels that required inverse force feedback (FFB).
- Fixed issue where center spring in FFB would remain on while in the air.
- Improved rumble and FFB feedback on wheels.
- Fixed issue where controller mappings for a second device were not being saved.

Well, car licenses expire and they can't sell any more copies so there's that. FH2 can't be bought any more unless you get a second hand disc.
