Ivy Bridge-E is to be launching somewhere in the near future. This will be the flagship Intel Core i7 series processors, also known under codename Ivy Bridge-E. Obviously it was just a matter of time before somebody posted some photo's on it and that happened over the weekend by a Chinese website called Chinadiy, below you can see what should be a Core i7 4930K. Though the sample does not show any kind of code, it does display the clock frequency. Since the only CPU from Intel that will have a 3.40 GHz clock frequency, we can assume it is a Core i7 4930K.

Admittedly, clock speeds can differ closer to the actual launch. According to earlier leaks Intel could  release in September no less than three Ivy Bridge-E processors namely the Core i7-4960X, Core i7-4930K and Core i7-4820K. Ivy Bridge E can be used on Intel X79 socket 2011 based motherboards, even the older ones albeit they all will need a BIOS update.

The six-core 15MB Smart Cache, 3.6GHz clock Core i7-4960X Price will be $ 990 (NT $ 29,650 million); Core i7-4930K clocked at 3.4GHz and 12MB Smart Cache, the price is $ 555 (NT $ 16,622 million); the quad-core Core i7-4820K is clocked at 3.7GHz and has 10MB Smart Cache, its price at $ 310 (NT $ 9,284 million) .
