Laptops with Intel Arc Alchemist A-series GPUs are available, but at a premium. The first two laptops to appear in the USA derrive from Asus and HP and include Intel's A370M GPU. The Asus model starts at $1400, while the HP variant is exorbitantly priced at $2000.

With an Intel Core i7-12700H 12-core CPU, 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, a 1TB SSD, and the A370M mobile GPU, the $1400 Ultrabook is Asus' Zenbook Flip 2-in-1. The laptop has a 15.6-inch touchscreen display and a 360-degree hinge that allows it to be used as a tablet. For $2000, HP offers a 2-in-1 with the same A370M GPU. The Spectre has a Core i7-1260P with 12 cores, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. The Spectre has a 16-inch 8:5 aspect ratio 3840x2400 display. Like the Zenbook, this notebook can convert to a tablet.

Due to Intel's Evo platform, these laptops support the newest communication standards as WiFi 6 and Thunderbolt 4. Evo also demands a 9-hour battery life and fast wake-up. This excessive pricing are standard for Evo gadgets. Prices frequently soar as you enter that zone. This is especially true for 2-in-1 devices that may be used as a laptop or a tablet.

While the price may be justified by the features, they are extremely costly gaming laptops. A similarly equipped RTX 3060 or 3070 gaming laptop costs between $1400 and $2000. Like the Asus Zenbook and HP Spectre, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is priced competitively at $1561 on Newegg, but packs a punch with an RTX 3060 and Ryzen 9 5900HS engine.

The $1400 and $2000 price tags are made worse by Intel's Arc A370M GPU, which is slow by today's standards. AMD claims the RX 6500M is 27–114 percent quicker than the A370M.

The A370M is much below AMD's RX 6600M and Nvidia's RTX 3060 in terms of performance. Hopefully, Intel's Arc GPUs will be employed in lower gaming laptops in the future, and the Arc 500 and 700 series chips will truly perform well. For now, we'd avoid these tiny and light gaming laptops, even if Best Buy claims the A370M has "high-end" graphics.
