First Alleged Benchmark Results GeForce RTX 3080 Surface

Over in Asia a data-set for benchmarks the GeForce RTX 3080 has leaked online. The results are not 100% clear but would be based on the card paired with a system based on a Core i9 10900K processor.

The results have been posted in a video so the charts and data look aa little fuzzy. The tests would have been run with a  456.16 driver. The RTX 3080 would be 30% faster than a 2080 Ti. The set was spotted by videocardz who posted this first. They also mention that this channel where all this was posted has already been caught using fake review samples and publishing a review earlier (they hid the name of the Ryzen processor). This time leakers do not show any review sample, so we cannot confirm if they actually tested the card or have done a bit of 'guestimation'

3DMark Results:

  • 3DMark Fire Strike Performance: 31919  (+25% 2080Ti, +43% 2080S )
  • 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme: 20101  (+24% 2080Ti, +45% 2080S )
  • 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra: 11049 (+36% 2080Ti, +64% 2080S )
  • 3DMark Fire Strike Time Spy: 17428 (+28% 2080Ti, +49% 2080S )
  • 3DMark Fire Strike Time Spy Extreme: 8548 (+38% 2080Ti, +59% 2080S )
  • 3DMark Fire Strike Port Royal: 11455 (+45% 2080Ti, +64% 2080S )

4K in-game benchmarks. The card appears to be 48 to 62% faster than RTX 2080 SUPER:

  • Far Cry 5 +62%
  • Borderland 3 +56%
  • AC Odyssey +48%
  • Forza Horizon 4 +48%

You do not see the big picture here. Its cheaper becouse nvidia overpriced 2000 series so much its laughable. So it seems like a its a good deal but in reality 2080ti should have been priced similar 1080ti in the first place.

I understand exactly what you mean and I had that in mind when I wrote my comment. Maybe I didn't express myself correctly or with the right wording.
What I mean is that we're back at the prices of the 1000 series with a good performance increase. This is due to rumours of AMD competing in the high end, or I'm sure Nvidia wouldn't do this (3060 would be the 500€ this generation for sure).
We need competition and I'll buy AMD over Nvidia in a blink of an eye, I just need a good performing product I can afford to replace my card. I couldn't care less with dedicated cores for stuff I'll never use (although AMD is entering the RT race too).
GPU die space is paid at a premium, I want to pay for what I use and not based on vague promises.

I was making the comparison to

Boy, you sure showed all of us!

Well, better get back to shilling for nVidia by calling out people who have to make crap about things that don't exist in order to make a product look bad that hasn't even launched yet. Shit ain't gonna happen by itself.

Accurate 'guestimation'?
lol - that was pretty funny

I get it - I do - I really do. The internet is the worst way to express anger as you cannot resolve any of the conflicts caused as opposed to offline. Best just to live and let live, possibly join a gym or start boxing.
