Far Cry 6 Require GeForce RTX 3080 / Radeon RX 6900 XT for 4K @ 30FPS with Raytracing
With a little more than a month until the game's release, Ubisoft has released the official system requirements for Far Cry 6. The game will be available on October 7th for PC.
They give settings for 1080p, 1440p, and 4K at various frame rates, with and without ray-tracing engaged, so we can see exactly how well it will perform on our system before purchasing it. The choices for Ray-Tracing are very demanding, as can be seen in the screenshots, yet the minimum prerequisites will allow it to be played on nearly any modern machine.
In addition to the AMD front, the game will support FidelityFX Super Resolution, which will help to improve its overall performance with compatible cards.

The simple truth is that we just don't 'need' to play it in 4k. We all know that it's about the cash. Selling you, basically, the same thing over and over again. We should all, by now, have really high quality 1080p screens, but the $$$$ train keeps on going. Same for phones.

imo a gpu is the no.1 desired consumer item in the western world right now, in all industries, everywhere.
The shops are being cleared the minute they should arrive, never seen anything like it.
its a bloody investment right now.

Good enough for 30fps slideshow. Nice.
Just forget 4k. Current hardware is not ready for it. Im not sure it will ever be since it's major performance gimp vs 1440p.

Well at least by the specs needed they seem to have injected a decent amount of RT,
perhaps to boost AMDs next gen rt cards and just general next-gen gaming on the ps5 etc.

That goes for their entire games - acv looks so cartooney throughout, and im not a fan of it either. I much prefered ac unity, which aimed for a realistic look, and actually still look better than ac valhalla, despite being from 2014. Though the age of the game does show in character models.
Im thinking if it may be due to limitations in their engine, and they give the games this cartooney look to compensate for the limitations in tech ? If that is the case (which i find the most plausible explaination) then they need to drop that ancient engine, and either license a more modern one, or build a new one.
Time for a new engine me thinks.
