Fallout 4 - PC Systems Requirements

Bethesda has shared a Fallout 4 release FAQ which shares details of the minimum and recommended system requirements for Bethesda's upcoming RPG sequel, more after the break.

We're almost there! In just over a month, the wait for Fallout 4 ends and you can finally explore its densely populated Wasteland on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Until then, Vault-Tec was kind enough to provide us with some handy information to ready you for launch.

PC Systems Requirements (Requires Internet Connection and Free Steam Account to Activate)

Minimum

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent


Recommended

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent


Console Storage Space

  • Make sure you have enough space in the vault to store Fallout 4. Fallout 4 requires 28-35 GB depending on territory and languages supported.


Release Time
Want to know exactly when you can start playing Fallout 4? Digitally the game will become available on November 10, 2015, at 12:01 am (local time) in all territories (In North America, the unlock time will be 12:01 am EST), except Asia (available at 12 am on Wednesday, November 11th) and Japan (available at 12 am on Thursday, December 17th).

A 550Ti can be found for $100-120 online, but a $400 PC can't ever be expected to run new PC games well for 5 years, at least not at 1080p... maybe at 720p and lowered graphics.


Lol, not according to dozens of threads on various gaming forums of PC elitists arguing against common sense back when the PS4/Xbone released. I just think it's funny to point it out now and then as newer games get released.
Those types of systems will never keep up with consoles in the same way.

550ti for 100-120????

Are you nuts? You can get a 280X/770 for that rpice.

A new 550ti would probably around 40-50.

You mean like the consoles? That can't play Battlefront at 1080p with their already reduced detail at 60fps?
