Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition Announced

Bethesda issued a press release announcing that one of its internally developed games, Fallout 4, will invite players to once again return to the Wasteland on September 26th with Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition.

It’s been nearly two years since Fallout 4 released to overwhelmingly positive reviews and acclaim. Like most GOTY editions, the Fallout 4 one will include all the latest gameplay updates (such as Survival Mode), graphical enhancements, the ability to play mods for free on PC and consoles, plus all the official DLC add-ons. Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition will be available on September 26th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (both digitally and at retail). But wait there’s more. To celebrate the GOTY edition, Bethesda revealed that it will be doing a second run of Fallout 4 G.O.T.Y. Pip-Boy collector editions. The Pip-Boy Edition includes Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition and will be available in a limited quality for $99.99 USD. It will also release on September 26th, but will be limited to only North America.

Also included are all six of the DLCs:

  • “Automatron” (March, 2016)
    • The mysterious mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain.
  • “Wasteland Workshop” (April, 2016)
    • With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures- from Raiders to Deathclaws!
  • “Far Harbor” (May, 2016)
    • A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths.
  • “Contraptions Workshop” (June, 2016)
    • Machines that sort! Machines that build! Machines that combine! With Fallout 4 Contraptions, use conveyor belts, scaffolding kits, track kits, even logic gates to construct crazy and complex gadgets in improve your Wasteland settlements.
  • “Vault-Tec Workshop” (July, 2016)
    • Build a brighter future underground with the all-new Vault-Tec workshop.
  • “Nuka-World” (August, 2016)
    • Take a trip to Nuka World, a vast amusement park now a lawless city of Raiders.

"Return to the Wasteland on September 26 with Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition. With all the latest gameplay updates (including Survival mode), graphical enhancements, the ability to play Mods for free on PC and consoles, plus all official add-ons included, this is the ultimate way to experience the award-winning post-nuclear adventure from Bethesda Game Studios.

Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition includes the fully updated original game along with all six add-ons: Nuka-World, Vault-Tec Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, Far Harbor, Wasteland Workshop and Automatron. Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition will be available on September 26 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Be sure to reserve your copy in the upcoming weeks from select digital and physical retailers.

To celebrate the Game of the Year Edition, Bethesda will release a limited quantity of Fallout 4 G.O.T.Y. Pip-Boy collector editions, exclusively available in North America at select retailers. The Pip-Boy Edition includes Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition and will retail for $99.99 USD, and will also release on September 26."

Well at least speaking for myself, good news. As I haven't even started Fallout 4, played it for 30 mins at lunch, got bored, deleted. This seems like a good opportunity to play a polished game. :)

the ability to play mods for free on PC and consoles

And now they aren't?

I like the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games but this is one of the most poorest releases to date, bug ridden - antiquated game engine that cannot do what is being asked of it and a game that is designed more for the consoles users not for PC.

It's funny- because....that's what is said about every bethesda game released, every time, yet people forget it, every time.

If it wasn't for the modding community the game would be dead already!

That's a good one :D I play Fallout 4 right now, bought it in Steam sales this year and i enjoy it, because i just love to build settlements. But man, the freaking bugs that were reported a year ago are still there, this is so frustrating. But Bethesda is already counting money for the VR shait, so all is OK i guess :(
