Expired security certificate disables some functionalities of Windows 11

Users of Windows 11 have been informed by Microsoft that certain features would no longer work after the upgrade. Examples of features that aren't available include on-screen keyboards and emojis. Due to the expiration of a certificate on October 31st.

Meanwhile, a patch has been published that may address some of the issues we've been experiencing. However, because it is still in beta, it must be downloaded one at a time. The on-screen keyboard, voice input, and emoji keyboard can all be used again after applying the patch. When it comes to taking and editing screenshots with the Snipping Tool in Windows 11, the latest patch hasn't helped. Taking a detour is recommended by Microsoft.

"Use the Print Screen key on your keyboard and paste the screenshot into your document. You can also paste the screenshot into Paint to select and copy the desired part."

We're working on a solution for the remaining concerns, Microsoft has said.

I'd rather switch to Linux if they force me to use Windows 11

Still gonna wait a while to take the plunge to 11...

Yeah, i waited a year before i moved over to Win 10.

May wait longer with Win 11.

I'd rather switch to Linux if they force me to use Windows 11

People said that 10 years ago as well, here they are still using Windows.

Microsoft should be cross-signing their apps so that certificate age doesn't kill them.

you're kinda missing out , if you play games , everything runs smooth and snappier then win10
they look better too
am playing more games from back in the day , just to see how they look , like Fable 3 and just cause 3 ; Far Cry 3 ,
playing them all again , at least those games had actual Good stories attached to them ...

just install the latest one and shut off ''windows updates'' in Policy Editor , so you don't get updates that could screw up your gaming experiences and you'll be just fine

LMAO that's the biggest lie in the tech world "runs smoother and snappier". It's meaningless words to create hype. What are you trying to say here, you think we are dumb? There are numerous benchmarks from numerous reputable hardware sites and youtubers showing there is NO difference in gaming between win10 and 11, even that win10 overall holds performance advantage in gaming.
