Ex EKWB CEOs Found a New Job at Corsair

Ex EKWB CEOs Found a New Job at Corsair

Roughly a month ago the news broke that the founder of EK Waterblocks had shown his top management the door as a result of a disagreement over the future course of the company.

Albeit it is very difficult to know what really went on behind the scenes of EK, their CEO, CTO, as well as their head of marketing, had been shown the door. The chief of marketing had a rather busy first day when he joined Bitcoin Mining platform Nicehash last week on Monday, exactly the day the hack happened.

The other two have also found new jobs, former CEO Mark Tanko and CTO Niko Tivadar of EKWB have joined Corsair, according to a report at TechPowerUp. The former will work there as 'vice president & BU general manager', Tivadar would be their 'director of engineering'. Corsair has already been deploying some LCS kits of course, but also wants to pursue DIY kits for liquid cooling. While uncertain this is what they will be their focus, 1+1 often is two right?

I can confirm that Niko and I joined CORSAIR team and look forward to the upcoming challenges. I can not comment on our future activities at this moment. Happy Holidays, stay cool everyone! - Mark Tanko

Wish them all the best at their new positions.

Would love to see some EKWB dna fused with Corsair LCS products in the future!

I just hope Corsair will not enter DIY water cooling market, just don't want from them bastardise this market with their junk

I know they're been in "talk" with Aquacomputer and I was been sure they will takeover AQ or they will start sell their products and rebrand them as Corsair

I'm now using Aquacomputer Kryos NEXT CPU water block which is one awesome block

Hope this helps

Thanks, Jura
