EVGA Shows line-up Z270 Motherboards

EVGA is the last company to announce their Z270 motherboards, they will be releasing several new motherboards compatible with Kaby lake processors. They will release a Z270 Classified K, Z270 FTW K and Z270 Stinger.

Introducing the EVGA Z270 motherboard lineup. Featuring the next-gen Intel Z270 Express Chipset, these motherboards are built to crush the competition. The EVGA Z270 motherboard lineup features impressive storage options that keep your data blazing fast on the latest SSD standards, including M.2, U.2 and Intel Optane support. The built-in Killer NIC* prioritizes and reduces latency to keeps you at the top of your game from the first match to the last. With Creative Core3D audio**, even if you cannot see your opponents coming, you’ll certainly be able to hear them. Finally, no EVGA board would be complete without a newly-designed VRM and hardware design built for cutting-edge performance and overclockability. Be fully prepared when Intel unleashes its latest storage solutions using its groundbreaking 3D XPoint architecture.

EVGA Z270 CLASSIFIED K MOTHERBOARD

Part Number: 134-KS-E279-KR

The EVGA Z270 CLASSIFIED K improves upon the dominant Z170 Classified K and adds the latest features for hardcore gamers and overclockers. Featuring the next-gen Intel® Z270 Express Chipset, this motherboard is built to crush the competition…and then some. The Z270 Classified K’s storage options keeps your data blazing fast on the latest SSD standards, including M.2, U.2 and is Intel® Optane™ Memory Ready. The Built-in Killer™ E2500 NIC prioritizes and reduces latency to keep you at the top of your game from the first match to the last. With the Creative Sound Core3D audio, even if you cannot see your opponents coming you’ll certainly be able to hear them. Finally, no Classified board would be complete without a newly-designed VRM and hardware design built for cutting-edge performance and overclockability.

EVGA Z270 FTW K MOTHERBOARD

Part Number: 132-KS-E277-KR

The EVGA Z270 FTW K improves upon the Z170 FTW to refine, redesign and redefine winning for gamers and overclockers everywhere. The EVGA Z270 FTW K supports up to 2-way SLI® + PhysX® to put your opponents in a world of hurt. A total of 4 DIMM slots support up to 64GB at 3600MHz+ to make sure nothing limits your performance. The Built-in Killer™ NIC prioritizes and reduces latency to keep you at the top of your game from the first match to the last. If that wasn’t enough, a newly-designed VRM provides the cleanest and most stable power to the CPU possible, fed through a CPU socket that has 1.5X the amount of gold content for improved signal quality to keep your system stable even during the longest of gaming sessions. The EVGA Z270 FTW K motherboard also has you covered for storage and features with 6 native 6.0Gb/s SATA ports, 2 SATA Express ports, 3 M.2 expansion slots, one U.2 port, and is Intel® Optane™ Memory Ready, along with native USB 3.1/3.0 support and 8 Channel HD Audio with Optical. If the EVGA Z270 FTW K doesn’t give you the edge you’re looking for, maybe it’s not the board.

EVGA Z270 STINGER MOTHERBOARD

Part Number: 111-KS-E272-KR

You could be forgiven for thinking the EVGA Z270 Stinger is a full-size motherboard, given the features crammed into its mini-ITX frame. You wouldn’t be forgiven, however, if you judged its performance based on its size. Featuring a next-gen Intel® Z270 Express Chipset with DDR4 3600MHz+ memory support and a 10-layer PCB, this motherboard is built to erase the line between a HTPC and heavy-duty gaming. With four native SATA 6G ports, M.2, U.2 and is Intel® Optane™ Memory Ready, you won’t be left wanting for storage or speed options. Along with USB 3.1 Type-A, USB 3.1 Type-C, 8 native USB 3.0, and included Dual-band WiFi + Bluetooth for versatility, you won’t be stung by regret.

I was really hoping that EVGA would move the USB 3.0 header to the front or top of the board. With it right above the PCIe slot like that you have to run the cable either over your RAM, CPU socket/cooler, or over the GPU. Not a huge deal, but it does clutter up the build unnecessarily.
