EVGA Pro SLI HB Bridges

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 06/22/2016 07:57 AM | source: | 13 comment(s)
EVGA Pro SLI HB Bridges

EVGA has announced Pro SLI Bridge HB, four SLI bridges using the new high bandwidth protocol that Nvidia introduced with pascal. The logo on top of the bridge is equipped with LEDs and can optionally in red, are shown in green, blue or white.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 can be used with existing SLI bridges, but the new HB variants provide higher bandwidth with pascal GPUs. According to EVGA these provide better frame pacing.

The company shows an example of Shadow of Mordor played at a resolution of 11520x2160 pixels. With two 1080 GTX GPUs HB-bridges frames seem consistent. According to Nvidia's HB bridge is not necessary for a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels at 60Hz (we confirm). At higher frame rates or resolutions should provide higher bandwidth advantage.

EVGA releases four different bridges. All support a maximum of two cards, the distance between the connectors is different. So arrangements can be made with 0, 1, 2 or 4 PCIe slots to "spacing" between the two graphics cards. EVGA has listed the new SLI bridges on its website for a suggested retail price of $ 39.99 each.

Features:
  • Separate models to support various card spacing configurations
  • Optimized for NVIDIA Surround, 4K+ and 120Hz+ gaming
  • EVGA logo illuminates and can be configured to display in Red, Green, Blue or White color
  • Compatible with GeForce GTX 1080/1070

Yeah I still needed to properly write the story, but mistakenly tagged it online/live already. All fixed.
