EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Render

EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Render

We've seen several Nvidia board partners tease their custom GeForce GTX 1080 Ti models already. On Twitter EVGA now also has shared a render  displaying their upcoming GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 with iCX-cooling.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 is based in triple 100mm spinners and combined with the iCX-cooling technology you may expect temperature probes and sensors located on any critical part of the graphics card. If one sections overheats, the software that you'll need to run all the time, will adapt and ventilate hardware. The 1080 Ti is fitted with a Pascal GP102 GPU with 3,584 Cuda cores that boost up to 1,600Mhz and 11GB of 11 Gbps GDDR5X memory. The card has two 8-pin power connectors, further technical details are still pending.

I have no confirmed answer on that but hope to see the first board partner cards roughly at the end of the month.

I like how it looks but curious that they went with 3 fans this time, maybe a 2 ventilator design wasn't enough to cool it properly?

Various sites are saying the ship dates for custom cards will be middle of March, maybe 2 weeks behind the FE versions. The 4 biggest AIBs (EVGA, Asus, Zotac, MSI) have already posted renders - the cards are done, they are just being tuned with final firmware.

All but MSI have triple fan designs. GP102 runs hot.

This is the one I may be looking at because they don't have the MSI tax.
