by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/18/2009 06:13 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

EVGA has launched a new GeForce GTX 285 FTW Edition graphics card that features 2GB GDDR3 memory.

EVGA's GeForce GTX 285 2GB FTW Edition is equipped 2GB of GDDR3 memory, working at 2448MHz, up from 1GB of 512-bit GDDR3 memory on the reference card. In addition, EVGA has also done some tweaking to the card's high-end GPU, providing the end-user with a clock increase of 54MHz, from 648MHz (stock) to 702MHz (EVGA card). The Shader frequency has also been raised to 1584MHz from 1476, while the memory has been set to work at 2484MHz. As with other NVIDIA-based cards, the new GTX 285 from EVGA will also provide support for the chip maker's technologies, including CUDA, SLI and PhysX.

Although the card is not yet available in stock, EVGA has listed it at US$439.99
