EVGA Adds Color Options for GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING

Most people will agree with me that the graphics card industry came to a grinding halt like half a year ago. There's no new stuff or designs, likely until the summer. So as an AIB you need to spice up things a bit here and there. EVGA as such is releasing two new color options for their GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING.

EVGA added a green and blue color variation model to the original GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card "EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC 2 GAMING". The VGA cooler is a dual fan cooler based on its iCX technology with its nine sensors. The side plate has been equipped with an RGB LED indicator that can shows the load status of the GPU and memory. Main specifications remain a base clock of 1,556 MHz, boost clock 1,670 MHz, memory clock 11,016 MHz. The graphics memory is GDDR 5 X 11 GB. The output interface shows  five connectors, HDMI × 1, DisplayPort × 3, DVI-D × 1. The bus interface is PCI - Express 3.0 (x16), the card size is L269.2 x H 118.48 mm, the auxiliary power supply connector is 8+6 pin.

  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
  • Number of CUDA: 3, 584 groups
  • Core base clock: 1,556 MHz
  • Core boost clock: 1,670 MHz
  • Memory clock: 11,016 MHz
  • Video memory: GDDR 5 X 11 GB
  • Memory bus width: 352 bits
  • Output interface: HDMI × 1, DisplayPort × 3, DVI-D × 1
  • VGA cooler: original dual fan cooler
  • Bus interface: PCI - Express 3.0 (x16)
  • Auxiliary power supply: 8 + 6 pin
  • Outer dimensions: 269.2 × 118.48 mm

The product will cost you the sum of 949.99 dollars

But... but it's got different colors now! Just imagine it would have RGB lighting too... would easily cost more than 1000$!

(and those two shown colors don't even look good imho, or as they would match the usual colors other vendors offer to match them...)

I might feel differently after the custom Ti versions of the next gen NVidia cards come out (I have SLI EVGA 780's at the mo) but maybe some gamers feel a bit sick at paying £1,000 ++ for that next gen card? I've held off upgrading my Dell U2711 which I've had for 7 years and my cards as I want to go 4K but with a monitor with 120+ refresh and cards that can provide 85+ refresh as a number of the games don't work in SLI but the wretched 'miners' have stuffed us price wise and given NGreedier even less motivation to provide us with good perf cards at 'reasonably' sensible prices.
I have upgraded my headphone & DAP set-up big time instead as I am getting more back, even with silly top end hi-fi prices.
