Entry-level Radeon RX 6500XT and RX 6400 RDNA2 based Graphics cards listed with 4GB GDDR6 (updated)

Entry-level Radeon RX 6500XT and RX 6400 RDNA2 based Graphics cards listed with 4GB GDDR6 (updated)

Navi 24 might soon see the light of day. Japanese leaker dataminer @KOMACHI ENSAKA claims to have discovered the first listings for the Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards, which have not yet been launched.

According to a series of tweets from KOMACHI, there are listings for Radeon RX 6500XT and RX 6400 SKUs with 4GB of GDDR6 memory available on the market. His statement is vague as to where those listings might be obtained (for example, on a webstore or a manufacturer's website). Such a claim, on the other hand, would imply that AMD has developed its first RDNA2 GPUs with a memory capacity less than 8GB (RX 6600XT). So there has been no clarification as to how or from where the two video cards have emerged, but the leaker has revealed they will contain 4GB of GDDR6 RAM each. Navi 24 would get 16 compute units that are 1024 stream processors at the most.

It is not known when AMD plans to release its Navi 24 graphics cards.

Update: Navi 24 and mobile graphics accelerators based on it already receive driver support in Linux. The Radeon RX 6500M and RX 6300M models are already included in the driver, and the performance class will also appear as a Pro / Workstation solution. There are no further technical details, but the picture of the new, even smaller RDNA-2 graphics cards comes together piece by piece.

Just went to a major online store here in Portugal, to check prices.
The RX 6600 goes for 600 to 700 euros.
I even found a 6600XT for 1073 euros.
Jeez, just as I'd thought pricing in my neck of the woods is nuts, I see your post and go

Locally, I can find a Gigabyte RX 6600 Eagle for 546 Euro, and a PowerColor Fighter RX 6600 for 494 Euro (local $ converted to Euro) and a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6600XT for 631 Euro. Prices in Portugal is just outta whack!

These could be pretty good for 1080p if they have poor hashrate. People need 200$ GPUs that would run modern titles medium/high at 1080p ....

4GB cards can't mine ETH as the DAG file is 4.5GB ish, could mine ETC though but ROI would be long.

That i had in mind. Yet 4gb is enough for 1080p mostly.

It is getting pretty... how to say it.. on the verge of not being enough, that is my experience with a 4gb card at least....
