EK releases MOSFET Blocks for MSI X99 Motherboards

EK releases MOSFET Blocks for MSI X99 Motherboards

EK introduces EK-MOSFET MSI X99 Gaming and MOSFET MSI X99 MPower blocks - two new water blocks for water cooling of the power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module on MSI X99S Plus, - Gaming and MPower series motherboards.

EK-MOSFET MSI X99 series water blocks are built to provide best possible VRM cooling and are highly recommended in overclocked systems as they provide uninterrupted workflow by ensuring total power delivery stability under highest overclocks.

Base of these water coolers is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality acrylic glass material or POM Acetal (depending on the variant). The MPower type comes with an EK engineered backplate, made from lasercut zinc-plated steel, which improves heat transfer by cooling the back side of the circuit board as well. EK-MOSFET MSI X99 seroes water block features a high flow design allowing the water block to be easily used with systems using weaker water pumps.

In order to simplify the search for suitable and compatible water block EK is adding newly released graphics cards and motherboard from various manufacturers to EK Cooling Configurator database and compatible graphics cards are being added to the list on daily basis.

EK-MOSFET MSI X99 MPower and EK-MOSFET MSI X99 Gaming come in two different variants and are readily available for purchase through EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network. Made in Slovenia - Europe.

Heck yea, was hoping they would make these. Looks like my future custom loop just got a tad more expensive!

Are the usual heatsinks on those X99 mobo's not enough? I can't imagine a situation where your OC is that high that the regular thick heatsinks are not enough anymore.

Normal overclocking they're fine, but if you over volt your bridge chip you still want the most cooling you can get, as well as the VRM's are cooled as well as they can be they'll last longer.

i had made the vrm of a mobo burn (ok it wasn't an actual gen), with real flame and everything (btw i had learned that aluminium can burn) :) of course it was extreme and a bit too far lol

but for normal OC for sure it is far than enough, but when you want the best cooling solution ...

I've seen that happen too on those flimsy dell optiplex 360 series. But these kind of mobo's? The closest i've seen happen was on that one spreadsheet where they tested old AM3 motherboards with the FX series.
